About 4-H

Founded in 1918, 4-H is an organization recognized around the world, serving over 6 million members in the United States, and found in over 80 countries worldwide. The goals of 4-H is to develop citizenship, life skills and leadership of the youth through hands on programs. As 4-H is recognized by its four leaf clover, the four H’s stand for, head, heart, hands, and health. It was in 1927 that a 4-H motto was adopted, as the term “To make the best better.” It was that same year that the 4-H pledge was made, “I pledge my Head to clearer thinking, my Heart to greater loyalty, my Hands to larger service, my Health to better living, for my club, my community, my country, and my world”, as it is still used today. 4-H is a great organization for children ages K-12 grade, were they can explore their interests.
